Nascio Between Rock, Gorge and History

Nascio sits high on the slopes of Monte Bianco, at the foot of a jasper rock and with three sides dropping steeply toward the Rio Novelli. Around the year 1000, a castle stood on the rock; in 1033, it was destroyed on the orders of the Genoese government.
