Cultural Sites with Their Own History

The Santuario della Madonna della Guardia was built in the 1930s by prisoners from Imperia under the direction of Don Abbo. This origin connects the religious building with a specific construction period as well as with Imperia and Don Abbo.

In Pantasina, the Casa Medioevale on Via Lascaris is listed as protected immovable cultural heritage. The Oratorio di Santa Caterina in Pantasina is also listed as protected immovable cultural heritage. The Casa Medioevale has an additional street reference through Via Lascaris, while the Oratorio is described through its connection to Pantasina.

The Chiesa della Trasfigurazione di Nostro Signore e San Sebastiano in Pantasina has been assigned daily opening hours from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The period covers ten hours and extends from the morning to the early evening. For planning a day in Pantasina, this daily period can be considered separately from individual event dates.

Festa della Castagna and Autumn Programme

The Festa della Castagna takes place in Pantasina as an annual recurring festival. As a recurring event, it has a different temporal reference from the individual cultural sites in the village.

At the 56th Festa della Castagna in 2024, the Camminata d’Autunno was part of the programme. The 2024 edition thereby connected the festival with a hike in autumn. This autumn connection is limited to the 56th Festa della Castagna in 2024.

Tastings on an Olive-Grove Terrace

Azienda Agricola Pietralata offers tastings of its products on a terrace surrounded by olive trees. The products of the farm make up the content of the tasting, while the terrace provides the setting. At Pietralata, an agricultural offering therefore comes together with an explicitly described outdoor location.

Museums in the Surrounding Area of Pantasina

There are several museums in the area surrounding Pantasina. These include the Historical Institute for the Resistance, the Pinacoteca Civica, the Naval Museum of West Liguria and the Museum dell’Olivo Imperia. The four institutions are located in the area surrounding Pantasina, while Casa Medioevale and Oratorio di Santa Caterina in Pantasina are listed as protected immovable cultural heritage. This creates a distinction for spatial planning between the two cultural sites in the village and the museums in the surrounding area.

The time information also follows different patterns: the Chiesa is associated with a daily period from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., the Festa della Castagna recurs annually, and the Camminata d’Autunno belongs to the 56th edition in 2024.
