Montemezzo: Mountain Trails, Churches and Panoramic Views

Montemezzo lies on the slopes of Pizzo Sasso Canale. Visitors can explore the village through its mountain landscape, panoramic views, trails leading to higher elevations and churches. The Chiesa di San Lorenzo in Montemezzo was built in 1900–1901.

Montemezzo is also home to a carved and painted wooden statue of Saint Lawrence. It is dated to approximately 1900 to 1949.

The route to Monte Sasso Canale also passes by Alpe di Mezzo. At Terminone stands a very long wall that once separated the private grazing areas of Alpe di Mezzo from the communal grazing areas of Montemezzo. In this way, the mountain route connects the landscape with a specific trace of former grazing use.
