Nature Reserve and Lake at the Centre

At the Lago di Piano visitor centre, you can rent a rowing boat to view the floating plant colonies. Birdlife is also an important part of the natural experience: more than 160 bird species have been recorded at Lago di Piano, including more than 60 breeding species. Cycling Route and Cultural Traces

The cultural side of Piano Porlezza includes the Church of Santi Nazaro e Celso. The church parish was founded in 1635. The building has a longitudinal floor plan, a single nave, four side chapels and an east–west orientation. The Church of Santi Nazaro e Celso was probably rebuilt in 1856 on the floor plan of the previous building. In addition, the historic Piano di Porlezza station was located near Lago di Piano at kilometre 7 of the route from Menaggio.
