The Festa di San Zenone is celebrated on the fourth Sunday in October. During the solemn Mass, the “brusà il balon” tradition is carried out: A large ball attached with cotton to a metal framework is hung in front of the altar and burned. The goods fair associated with the Festa di San Zenone takes place in the town center; its origins date back to the 18th century. This event combines religious customs with market activity that is significant to local tradition.

The Santo Crocifisso is also part of the religious heritage. It is located on the high altar of the Church of San Zenone and is carried through the streets of Castano Primo in a solemn procession every 25 years.

Transport Connections for Choosing a Location

Castano Primo is located on the Milano–Novara railway line of Ferrovie Nord. In addition, the SP 341 Gallaratese crosses the Turbigo bridge and connects Novara with Castano Primo.
