The churches also tell the story of the town’s long development. The Church of Santa Margherita is documented as early as 1153. In 1534, it was rebuilt by the parish priest Fabrizio Balbi. In Cascine Olona, the Oratorio San Giovanni Battista was built and consecrated by Paolo Mantegazza in 1468. The oratory was also declared a national monument and saved from the tram tracks.
