Discover Millepini: Culture, Architecture and Recreation

Millepini between technological history and modern architecture

Millepini can be discovered through several very different facets: the Museo Scooter & Lambretta is dedicated to early motor scooters and historical documents, Santa Rita Church provides a distinctive architectural highlight, and the parks, green spaces and cycling route offer further points of interest for planning your trip.

Motor scooters, bicycles and historical documents

The Museo Scooter & Lambretta is located at Via Kennedy 38 in Millepini, Rodano. It displays numerous early motor scooters from the first half of the 20th century. The museum also includes a hall with numerous unusual bicycles from the 19th century. If you are interested not only in the vehicles themselves but also in their technological and economic history, you can view the historical Innocenti archive, technical documents, films and commercial advertising materials there. Group visits to the Museo Scooter & Lambretta are possible on request.

Santa Rita Church as an architectural ensemble of details

Santa Rita Church in Millepini was built between 1990 and 1992 to designs by Francesco Guidi and Patrizio Buniva. Its layout is oriented north–south and opens onto the church forecourt with a three-bay pronaos. The bell tower separates the church building from the adjoining parish building while also connecting the two.

The interior design is also worth examining closely. In the presbytery area, there is a square tiburium, which serves to accentuate the architecture and provide stronger lighting for the liturgical area. The church’s baptistery volume also forms a second entrance to the building. The interior is designed as a single-nave space with a network of massive reinforced-concrete roof trusses and a raised gallery intended to increase capacity when needed.

Cycling route, green spaces and outdoor activities

For an active exploration, the 12.8-kilometre cycling route connects several stops: it runs from Lucino via the cycle connection to Millepini and along Via Kennedy to Bosco della Besozza, continuing to Cascina Benzo and back to Lucino. Accessible from the Millepini district, Bosco della Besozza is a green space with cycle paths, equipped areas and a pond.

Within Millepini, Parco Via Venezia adds further opportunities for exercise and spending time outdoors. The park features a children’s playground, a roller-skating rink and a fitness trail. This gives you a range of options in close succession for cultural interests, cycling trips, sporting activities and family time.

Match Millepini to your interests

When choosing your accommodation, you can consider Millepini according to your personal priorities: the museum and Santa Rita represent technological history and architecture, while the cycling route, Bosco della Besozza and Parco Via Venezia appeal to different forms of active leisure.
