Sacred Sites and Palazzo Rezzonico

A church dedicated to Saint Giulio is documented in Barlassina as early as the 13th century. The Santuario Madonna dell'Aiuto was also built in Barlassina. In the Chiesa di S. Giulio, the octagon and presbytery were decorated with frescoes in 1981 and 1982. This means that references to the town's religious history can be encountered in several places.

Palazzo Rezzonico is also one of the area's defining cultural sites. Since the foundation of the new independent municipality, it has been the seat of the municipal administration of Barlassina. In 1948, the Esposizione Permanente del Mobile di Barlassina was established there. The first section of the Me-Mo Valle del Seveso hiking trail leads from Barlassina to Cucciago. After passing through an underpass in the Barlassina area, the “Dal Parco delle Groane a Camnago di Lentate” route continues through woods to Misinto. The Superstrada, formerly SS 35, is also relevant for connections to Milan: it opened in the early 1970s and is considered a fast road connection to Milan.
