Natural area between Seveso and Meda

The Bosco delle Querce Regional Nature Park is a regionally protected area between Seveso and Meda. Bosco delle Querce covers 43 hectares, 35 of them in Seveso and 8 in Meda. Its area therefore extends across both municipalities, giving the natural area a clear geographical framework.

Remembrance in Bosco delle Querce

The Bosco delle Querce visitor centre features the Percorso della Memoria, with 11 panels. The panels of the Ponte della Memoria describe what the area looked like before the 1976 accident, what happened at the time and what it looks like today. This gives you a view of how the area has changed over time: the past, the event and the present are juxtaposed in a single presentation.

Another specific link to the history of 1976 is the large poplar tree in Bosco delle Querce. It is the only tree to have survived the accident of 10 July 1976.

Villa Dho and its parkland

Villa Dho is a historic villa set in a large park. The historic Villa Dho complex includes paths that can be explored on foot. If you are planning a walk, this possibility refers to the paths within the historic complex; it does not imply broader access to every part of the villa.

There is also a meadow in the grounds of Villa Dho that cannot be entered. From there, you can see the villa and the Alpine landscape behind it.

Sacred art and the cultural surroundings

The Santuario San Pietro Martire is a 14th-century religious complex. It preserves works of art, frescoes and decorations that tell the story of the life and sacrifice of Saint Pietro da Verona. The La Testimone Velata Di Mariani museum is located in the vicinity of Seveso.
