Premadio combines thermal waters, sacred architectural history, industrial archaeology and mountain landscapes to create a destination with many different facets. Thermal Waters and Historic Baths

At QC Bagni Vecchi, naturally warm thermal water from several springs in the national park feeds an atmospheric sensory trail. The experience at Bagni Vecchi includes Roman thermal baths, steam caves and a panoramic outdoor pool.

Churches and Regional History

The surviving wall paintings in the Chiesa di San Gallo depict saints in wood-imitation niches with trefoil-shaped finishes reminiscent of Tyrolean Late Gothic triptychs. The church of San Gallo in its present form dates from the late 15th century; in 1631, a large, light-filled choir was added. This provides you with an accessible introduction to sacred art and the architectural development of the church. San Gallo preserves both wall paintings and traces of several building phases.

The church of San Cristoforo also belongs to the older history of the village: it is mentioned as early as 1397. The ironworks of Premadio, known as „Ferriere Corneliani“, represent a different historical focus.

Mountain Landscapes Around Premadio

The peaks of Monte delle Scale and Corne di Radisca are located in the immediate vicinity of Premadio. Monte Cristallo and Il Corno are situated in the surrounding area of Premadio. Monte delle Scale and Corne di Radisca are closer to Premadio than Monte Cristallo and Il Corno. These four mountain destinations give the landscape different points of reference and make clear that Premadio is also worth considering for a trip focused on alpine environments.

Along the Sentiero dei Fortini

The Stelvio Historical Trek: Sentiero dei Fortini begins at the turnoff to Boscopiano on the road to the Stelvio Pass, shortly beyond Bagni Vecchi. From there, it descends towards Premadio through a dense Swiss stone pine forest and passes the remains of an old building. At Pozza, the trail leads back into Valdidentro. For route planning, the starting point shortly beyond Bagni Vecchi and the later crossing at Pozza are two separate orientation points. This describes a route that connects thermal baths, forest landscapes and historical traces in a single sequence, without allowing the cultural attractions of the village to fade into the background.

In the wider regional surroundings of Premadio are the St. Johann Monastery and the Abbazia di Monte Maria.
