Apollinare is considered the probably oldest abbey in the Vallesina. Its church was built in the 13th century. The single-nave interior, flat apse, rafter roof and Gothic portal characterise the building through a variety of architectural forms. Inside, there is a restored 15th-century fresco. It depicts the Madonna and Child between Saints Apollinaris and Anthony the Great. This site thus combines architectural history with a clearly identifiable pictorial representation.

San Silvestro Papa and San Carlo

San Silvestro Papa is already mentioned in a document from 1079. The church has a gilded and carved wooden gallery as well as two side choir galleries; both choir galleries were made by Angelo Scoccianti. San Carlo is the only church within the area of Monte Roberto enclosed by the castle walls. It houses two paintings by the artist Antonio Sarti.
