Mergo Between Defensive Walls and the Valley Landscape

The “Tour dei Castelli di Jesi” route associated with Mergo is an easy 41 km MTB and gravel route with 750 meters of elevation gain.

A second option is “Ancona Rebirth – Secondo anello,” an easy 80 km road cycling route with 1,252 meters of elevation gain. Compared with the “Tour dei Castelli di Jesi,” this route is longer and has more elevation gain; at the same time, it is also rated as easy. The different distances and elevation profiles help provide an objective comparison of the two routes without reducing them to the same travel or riding pace.

The “Tour dei Castelli di Jesi” also leads to an equipped picnic area called “Il mare di Mergo.”
