Morro D'alba: Fortification Walls, Museum and Wine in the Marche

Churches, Art and Exhibitions

The Auditorium Santa Teleucania is located in the former S.S. Annunziata church, which was inaugurated in 1670. The area formerly used for worship is now used for conferences, while the area below serves as an exhibition space.

At the Museo Utensilia, you can see numerous tools in eight themed rooms—tools that farmers made themselves for work in the fields, in the household and with animals. The museum is a systematically assembled and documented collection on the life and means of production of the sharecroppers of the Marche.

Since 2008, the Museo Utensilia has been housed in the atmospheric underground rooms of the castle beneath “La Scarpa.” The lower passages, built between the 15th and 16th centuries, are visible and partly open to visitors.

The parish church of San Gaudenzio houses Ercole Ramazzani’s painting “Crocifissione con Santi,” dating from 1596.

Walking Trails Through the Marche Countryside

The easy circular route from the parish church of San Gaudenzio to the rural Chiesa rurale di Santa Maria del Fiore is 3.9 kilometers long. It leads through the countryside and offers impressive views of the town.

The Agricom-S.-Amico trail is a 5.9-kilometer, moderately long walking route along little-used paths where you may easily encounter wildlife.

The excursions of the “Percorsi nelle Terre del Lacrima” lead through vineyards, hilly landscapes, wine cellars and rural churches. Their routes convey the authentic side of Morro d’Alba.

The two specifically measured trails differ in length, making it easier to plan and find your way, while the “Percorsi nelle Terre del Lacrima” connect wine and hilly landscapes with cultural sites.
