Discover Borgo Santa Maria

Borgo Santa Maria offers several clearly distinct points of interest for your trip to Italy. The Town’s Religious History

The new Santa Maria Regina parish church was consecrated on September 25, 2011. Pozzo Basso had already had a chapel since 1633, dedicated to the Beata Vergine del Rosario. The two religious sites thus lead from a 17th-century chapel to a 21st-century parish church.

Park and Sports in the Town

Parco di Borgo Santa Maria is located between Via Monte Amiata and Via Monte Rosa. The triangular green space covers approximately 6,000 m²; 1,000 m² of it is paved, while more than 5,000 m² consist of lawn with tall trees. The park also includes a skate park. This gives you a specific place here for spending time outdoors and engaging in sports activities.

PozzoPazzEstate and Family Activities

The annual PozzoPazzEstate event is scheduled for 2026 over three periods: from July 9 to July 12, 2026, from July 15 to July 19, 2026, and from July 23 to July 26, 2026, at Parco dei Tigli in Borgo Santa Maria. The program includes a sports area for tournaments and competitive activities, Parco di Alice for children and families, a food area with food stalls, and an event area for music and evening entertainment. You can take the three date blocks into account when planning a stay centered around this event.

The Biblioteca Rodari also caters to different age groups: it has more than 18,000 catalogued volumes, including around 5,000 for children and young people. For active days, there is the Pista polivalente Borgo Santa Maria on Via Monte Catria. The multidisciplinary court measures 35 × 17 m and is equipped with basketball hoops and football goals.

Castles, Palaces and Beaches in the Surrounding Area

Several historical and maritime points of interest can be added to the destinations around Borgo Santa Maria. Castello di Granarola and Castello di Gradara are castles; Villa Imperiale Pesaro is a palace, while Villa Miralfiore is a museum. The beaches in the surrounding area include Spiaggia di Pesaro, Bagni Due Palme and Miramare Beach. Acquario Di Cattolica, a zoo, is also located nearby. This allows you to vary day plans between culture, the sea and family outings.

The green line of the Bicipolitana connects Baia Flaminia with Borgo Santa Maria along the Foglia River. At that time, the cycling network was still under construction.
