Ricaldone among singer-songwriters, wine and landscapes

Ricaldone brings together singer-songwriter culture, wine and regional products with distinctive points of interest in the town and surrounding landscape. The Church of Saints Simon and Jude Thaddeus replaced the former Church of San Michele around the middle of the 16th century. A premium wine tasting by Tre Secoli includes a short guided tour and an introduction to the history of the cellar and the production area. The programme includes five wines: Alta Langa DOCG “Inalto”, Colli Tortonesi DOC Timorasso Derthona, Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore “Sorangela”, Nizza DOCG and Piemonte DOC Moscato Passito. It takes place at Cantina di Ricaldone, Via Roma 2, 15010 Ricaldone (AL).

Antica Cascina San Rocco offers guided tastings in Ricaldone, combined with traditionally produced cured meats and cheeses from local farms. Antica Cascina San Rocco states that each tasting lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours; during the tasting, visitors are introduced to the production philosophy and the flavours of the region.

Landscape and orientation

The Zona di Salvaguardia del Bosco delle Sorti – La Communa protected area includes Ricaldone. Before entering Ricaldone, the UNESCO viewpoint “Belvedere” is recommended as a stopover. A large Bordeaux-red-and-white Big Bench is located on the road to Maranzana.
