Corneliano d'Alba lies in central Roero on the slopes of the hills in the valley of the Riddone stream. The route of an ancient Roman road that connected Alba with Turin runs through the town. Another historical connection is offered by the Santuario della Madonna del Castellero: it stands on the road between Corneliano d'Alba and Monticello d'Alba, which was formerly part of a route from Asti to Pollenzo used in Roman times.
