The Marina di Valledoria boasts seven kilometres of soft, golden sand. Its coast is characterised by dunes with sea lilies and a lagoon lake in the hinterland formed by the river mouth. Baia Verde beach is in the immediate vicinity of the mouth of the Rio Cugiani and is surrounded by eucalyptus trees, junipers and mimosas. The sandy beach of Prima Guardia is also located close to the built-up area and is surrounded by Mediterranean scrub.
L'Alta Bhanda borders the mouth of the Coghinas and the surrounding SIC area. L'Alta Bhanda can be reached by boat from the Imbarcadero. Near the Coghinas, you can observe protected species of the SIC area among reeds and sand dunes. At the access point on the Coghinas, specialised birdwatching excursions with qualified guides are offered. This makes the nature experience range from independent observation to guided birdwatching.
Peaceful Activities on the Water
River excursions as well as peaceful activities such as kayaking and birdwatching start from the Imbarcadero. San Pietro a Mare offers fine golden sand, bathing facilities, bars, restaurants and areas for beach volleyball and beach soccer. A nearby car park also makes San Pietro a Mare accessible to families and people with reduced mobility. All of Valledoria's beaches can be reached on foot or by bicycle via combined pedestrian and cycle paths. A shuttle bus also provides access to the beaches of Valledoria.
