Zingarello between Coastal Plain and Golden Beach
Zingarello is located in a distinctive coastal landscape with diverse natural and cultural features. Zingarello includes a coastal plain on marine terraces. At the same time, Zingarello-Cipolluzze is a recently developed, established coastal residential settlement with a seasonal tourism character. Those who wish to plan their stay around landscapes, walks and cultural destinations will find several clearly distinct themes here.
Coast between Sand and Cliffs
Zingarello has a clay-rich cliff coast. The Spiaggia di Zingarello provides a different coastal accent: fine, golden sand lies there, while a limestone cliff rises behind the beach. Sand, slope and the clay-rich cliffs thus form the main landscape features around the village. This is particularly interesting for you if, by the sea, you would like to experience not only beach areas close to the water but also distinctive coastal formations.
The Drasy beach is located in the immediate vicinity of Zingarello. Further afield are the San Leone beach and the Spiaggia Marina di Palma beach. The Bay of Zingarello is described, together with the bays of Cannatello, as a coastal feature. For 2025, a walkway is listed at Spiaggia Zingarello.
Walks and Paths by the Sea
The Monte Grande, Cala Vicinzina and Marina di Palma area is suitable for outdoor activities, hiking, trekking and walks. From Spiaggia di Zingarello, you can continue along the coast to Punta Bianca. This connection also makes the coast interesting for a trip in which you would like to link individual landscape impressions on foot, without focusing solely on a beach.
To reach Punta Bianca, follow the signs to Zingarello and Punta Bianca. Before the SS115, a barely visible sign on the right points to a bumpy gravel road leading to the beach; parking at the Bevaio and continuing on foot for about 15 minutes is recommended.
Culture around Zingarello
Historical and cultural destinations are also located around Zingarello. These include the Castle Palma di Montechiaro and the Tempio Di Demetra Museum. The ancient site of Agrigento, Valle dei Templi, is also nearby. The ancient site Roman Temple and portico is likewise located around Zingarello. A sunken fort from the Second World War is also located off the coast of Zingarello.
Further afield in the region around Zingarello is the Scala dei Turchi viewpoint. This gives you a broad range of options for planning your trip, from observing the coast and outdoor activities to exploring history, with each destination to be considered in its stated spatial relationship to Zingarello.
