Monterosso between Volcanic Soil and Nature

Monterosso Etneo is characterized by a landscape in which volcanic formations and nature observation exist in close proximity. Monte Rosso is a 596-metre-high parasitic cinder cone that formed in the town of Monterosso Etneo during the 1329 eruption. Its volcanic soil consists of red pozzolana, in which layers of sand and pumice alternate.
