Church and local history

The Chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate, also known as Chiesa Madre and the parish church, is considered the first cultural and historical building in Santa Domenica Vittoria. In 1776, Alliata and Vittoria financed the transformation of the original chapel into a sacramental church, from which today's Chiesa di Sant'Antonio Abate emerged. A small marble baptismal font bearing the family's coat of arms is the oldest object in the church.

Mulino Passo dell'Olmo was built in 1872 to grind grain. Grain milling there was of fundamental importance to the local economy until the middle of the 20th century. Mulino Passo dell'Olmo used the water of the Favoscuro stream for this purpose.
