Biscione connects the Litorale di Biscione with Piazza Biscione and a series of local events. Museums, a palace, beaches and a cape are located in the surrounding area of Biscione.

Coast, Diving and Turtles

The Litorale di Biscione offers a variety of opportunities for diving. Turtles of the species “Caretta caretta” lay their eggs on the beach in front of the Litorale di Biscione.

Beaches and Capo Feto in the Surrounding Area

The Spiaggia di Punta Parrino Sibiliana, a beach, is located in the immediate vicinity of Biscione. The Spiaggia di Villaggio Greco, also a beach, is likewise located nearby. The Spiaggia di Mazara del Vallo, a beach, and Capo Feto, a cape, are also located in the area around Biscione.

Museums and Palace

The Museo Mirabile delle tradizioni ed arti contadine di Marsala, a museum, is located nearby. The Museo degli Arazzi della Matrice, a museum, the Praetorial Palace, a palace, and the Ente Mostra Nazionale Di Pittura, a museum, are also located in the area.

Piazza Biscione as an Event Venue

Piazza Biscione has hosted various events. “Cacciatori di Sogni” combined music, dance and theatre. The “Du Gnocculu” festival also took place in Piazza Biscione, where it reached its sixth edition. The IX. Torneo Scacchi Sotto le Stelle was likewise held as part of the Petrosino Estate 2020 events in Piazza Biscione; it was a rapid chess tournament for young people under 16.

Wine, Market and Local Specialities

The Sagra dell’Arancina took place in 2024 in its second edition at Piazza Biscione in Petrosino; the event offered ten different types of arancine. The second edition of “Vino Vivo” took place on 1 and 2 August 2025 at the Litorale di Biscione and was dedicated to wine culture and enhancing the area. The 2025 wine event is listed alongside a market period announced for 2026. The second edition of the “Mercato Estivo in Piazza Biscione” was announced for the period from 15 June 2026 to 14 September 2026; the market was scheduled to take place on Mondays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and promote local commerce.

Sport and Installation

“Pedalando sotto le stelle” was organised on 23 August at 7 p.m. in Piazza Biscione in Petrosino as an event for sport, entertainment and social engagement. In 2026, the “Petrosino Biscione” installation was also inaugurated; it was created by the association “I Picciotti di Via Cafiso Petrosino Aps”.
