The parish church of St Nicholas

Colle di Fuori can be explored particularly vividly through the parish church of St Nicholas. The church is located in the village at an altitude of 1,260 metres, was first mentioned in 1334 and today presents itself in the Neo-Gothic style. Inside, there are Stations of the Cross from local workshops. In this way, the church combines a tangible connection to the village with visible traces of regional craftsmanship.

Winter hike through Colle

The winter hike “Hike to the traditional farms in the Gsies Valley” leads through Colle di Fuori and follows St Nicholas Street. It is designed as an easy circular hike along Colle’s sunny slope and passes between farmsteads and meadows. The circular route does not require a separate return journey to be planned. For a winter’s day in Colle di Fuori, the hike can be planned as a tour in its own right; St Nicholas Street remains one section of the route.

In the Gsies Valley, the cross-country ski trail stretches for 40 kilometres from Colle to Santa Maddalena and is connected to the Dolomiti Nordicski network.
