Puez-Odle Nature Park House in St. Magdalena

The Puez-Odle Nature Park visitor centre is located in the centre of St. Magdalena in Villnöss. A walk-in aerial photograph at the nature park house allows you to view the nature park from a bird’s-eye perspective and gain detailed insights into the landscape. This perspective is particularly interesting for orienting yourself in the diverse mountain landscape: you can see the spatial impact of the nature park not only from the trail, but also take it in as a complete picture.

The Little Church in Ranui and the Way There

The cultural history is also part of the tangible experiences in Villnöss. The Church of St. John Nepomuk in Ranui was commissioned in 1744 by the mine owner Michael von Jenner. It features altarpieces by Franz Sebald Unterberger from the Fiemme Valley. A bus runs from Klausen or Brixen into the Dolomite Valley of Villnöss as far as the Ranui stop; from there, it is a five-minute walk to the Church of St. John Nepomuk. This connection makes it possible to plan the visit as a separate cultural highlight and adds a historical accent alongside the experiences of nature and the mountains.

Villnöss is South Tyrol’s first Slow Food Travel destination.
