Another specific site is the Oratorio della Madonna dei Tre Fiumi. It lies just outside the village of Ronta. In 1633, it was expanded with two side aisles, a portico on the façade, and a small refectory.

Art and Architectural History in Pulicciano

The Church of Santa Maria in Pulicciano contains a polychrome terracotta group depicting the Lamentation of Christ, attributed to the workshop of Benedetto Buglioni. The church was once part of a strategic fortress. Beneath Pulicciano's church square there is also a Roman cistern, visible through an opening in the wall.

Chestnuts as Landscape and Craft

At the Antico mulino Margheri, chestnuts are milled in September. Together with the trails from Colla di Casaglia Pass to Ronta, which pass through chestnut groves, this creates a tangible connection to chestnuts: you encounter them once as an element of the landscape and once as a processed product.
