Uliveto Terme between the Arno and Monte Pisano

Uliveto in Festa returned to Uliveto Terme from April 18 to April 20, 2026, as a three-day festival. The festival complements the town’s historical and landscape features with an explicit focus on community activities.

San Martino al Bagno is a small Romanesque church with a single-nave layout, an apse and an unusual bell gable on the façade. The history of San Salvatore is also closely connected with the Arno: after the river flooded, the original church was demolished in 1854. From 1854 to 1857, it was rebuilt on the opposite side of the road as the Chiesa del Santissimo Salvatore. The remains of the former San Salvatore church are visible opposite the present-day church. They include a rectangular outline made of Verrucano stone and a largely preserved semicircular apse.
