Pracchia is one of the settlements on the Pistoia side of the Porrettana railway line. The still-active line is served daily by trains between Pistoia and Porretta.

Hiking trails and a historic mill

Pracchia is also clearly positioned as a destination for hiking. The Sentiero delle Stazioni trail begins in Pracchia and ends in Piteccio. The starting point of this hike can be reached by train from Pistoia railway station. Another route leads from Pracchia towards Orsigna: after approximately 1 km, the Pracchia-Orsigna route reaches the recently restored historic water mill, Molino di Giamba.
