Culture and Landscapes in the Wider Surrounding Region of Bassa

The Pinacoteca Ss.ma Trinità, the Ecomuseo le Terre del Brenta and the Villa Breda Museum are located in the wider surrounding region of Bassa. These three institutions are museums. Castello di San Pelagio is a castle.

The Spiaggia di Sottomarina, Cason Torson, Fisolo and Arco Vallaresso are also located in the wider surrounding region of Bassa. The Spiaggia di Sottomarina is a beach. Cason Torson and Fisolo are islands, while Arco Vallaresso is described as a natural arch.

Arzergrande: Cultural Sites and Cycling Routes

The Sala Museale Cesarina Foresti is located at Via Bassa 3 in Arzergrande. The Sala espositiva “Portus Aedro” focuses on archaeology, displaying finds from Roman times.

The Casone Azzurro was restored in 2008 and furnished with the original furniture. It can only be visited by reservation. A spontaneous visit is therefore not assumed; making a reservation is part of the preparation when the site is included in the day plan.

Cycling Routes in Arzergrande

The “Schilla” cycling tour runs from the square in Arzergrande via Via Bassa to the Osteria del Sole. It then continues along the embankment of the Fossa Schilla and the Scolo Altipiano. The route is approximately 8 km long. This approximate length can be taken into account as a separate route value when planning the day.

The “delle acque” cycling tour also begins at the square in Arzergrande and runs via Via Bassa to the Osteria del Sole. It then follows the embankments of the Scolo Acque Straniere, the Scolo Altipiano and the Arzeron Basso. The tour is approximately 4 km long; starting from Arzergrande, 2 km each way are added for the outward and return journeys. The approximate distances provide guidance without specifying a fixed duration.

The Scolo Altipiano appears on both routes; the Fossa Schilla, Scolo Acque Straniere and Arzeron Basso each belong to only one of the two tours. Arzergrande also has four short and very easy cycling routes along cycle paths and country roads.

If you would like to observe birds, you can use observation huts in the vegetation at the nearby Oasi Ca’ di Mezzo.
