Tarzo between Prosecco, Trails and Folk Culture

Tarzo can be discovered in different ways: through the Prosecco landscape, along trails by the water and at places where history and folk culture are directly visible. This combination is particularly interesting when planning your trip, because wine, outdoor activity, the lake and local traditions each offer their own way of experiencing the area.

Prosecco as an Experience

At Ville D’Arfanta in Tarzo, the Prosecco experience includes a walk through Serena’s vineyards. It also includes a tasting of four Prosecco selections, accompanied by local gastronomic products. This means that the focus is not only on the wine: the walk and regional products also give the experience a scenic and culinary dimension.

Ville D’Arfanta also offers a Vespa tour through the green hills of the Prosecco area. The tour includes a stop at the winery for a picnic in the vineyard. This approach combines the hilly landscape with a ride and a break among the vines.

On Foot through the Hills and Hamlets

Tarzo is also connected to the Prosecco area by walking routes. The Cammino delle Colline del Prosecco includes a 13.1 km stage from Follina to Tarzo. A variant of the stage from Tarzo to Vittorio Veneto runs along the Via dei Murales.

Murals and Archaeological Traces

The Via dei Murales is located in Fratta, a hamlet of the municipality of Tarzo. It is a walking route through history and folk culture; on the façades of the houses in Fratta, it displays murals painted by artists from the Veneto region. Another historical reference can be found in Colmaggiore di Tarzo: prehistoric finds, together with the aim of enhancing and promoting the area around the Revine Lakes, formed the basis for planning the Parco Archeologico Didattico del Livelet.

The Lake and Park as Distinct Highlights

The Passeggiata attorno al lago di Lago begins and ends by the water at the equipped Parco Va dee Femene in Colmaggiore di Tarzo. Va dee Femene is a publicly accessible, equipped park in the hamlet of Colmaggiore di Sopra in Tarzo. The park has barbecue facilities and play facilities for children.

A Religious Note

The Festa della Candelora has a historical and religious connection to Tarzo. The Pro Loco of Tarzo organized the first edition in 1990. As part of the Festa della Candelora, a Mass with the blessing of candles is celebrated in the parish. Alongside wine, landscape and folk culture, this adds a spiritual aspect to the area.

When planning your accommodation for a trip to Tarzo, you can set the focus of your stay according to the different themes: a Prosecco experience at Ville D’Arfanta, a stage or variant of the Cammino, the murals in Fratta, the trail around lago di Lago or Va dee Femene Park. This allows you to weigh up culinary, scenic, cultural and spiritual interests.
