The parish church of Dossobuono is dedicated to Santa Maria Maddalena. The foundation stone of the present parish church was blessed on 31 August 1941; the solemn consecration took place on 23 October 1945. Inside, two rows of four monolithic Corinthian columns made of red marble divide the building into three aisles. For those interested in architecture, the interior brings the materials, column order and spatial layout into focus.

An older sacred landmark is the former parish church of Dossobuono, which was dedicated to Santa Maria Maddalena and built in 1311. The year 1311 places the former church in a considerably earlier period of the town's history.

Forte Gisella, also known as Forte Dossobuono, was built between 1860 and 1861 under Austrian rule as part of the Quadrilatero defensive system.

Festivals and Public Events

The Antica Sagra di Dossobuono features food stalls and takes place in the last week of August. If you plan your trip around this period, the local experience also includes a culinary aspect. The Sagra therefore belongs to the late summer period.

Restoration work at Forte Gisella made it possible to organize guided tours, cultural events and other public events.
