Malga Derocon covers 54 hectares of forest, meadows and pastures at an altitude of 1,300 metres. Of this area, 31 hectares are fenced off for semi-wild animals. This places a clearly defined natural area at the centre, where landscape and wildlife are closely connected, without implying any specific visiting or access arrangements.

Church and Military History

The present-day parish church of Chiesa Santi Filippo e Giacomo dates back to a place of worship documented since 1437 and acquired its current form in 1720. It thus represents the town's long religious history and a specific architectural form from the 18th century.

The Trincee di Malga Pidocchio are a historic open-air monument. At Malga Pidocchio, soldiers shaped natural rock formations into a fortification with corridors, galleries, caves, rooms, kitchens, sleeping quarters, stairs and trenches partly covered with stone slabs. Some of the fortifications and trenches were restored; the Ecomuseo delle Trincee di Malga Pidocchio was established there and opened in summer 2014.

Monte Veronese and Local Festival Culture

The traditional festival of Formaggio Monte Veronese DOP was planned for 24 and 25 May 2025 in Erbezzo and was dedicated to promoting the cheese in various varieties and stages of maturation. On Sunday, educational workshops and guided tastings of the cheese were scheduled to take place in the Sala Civica di Erbezzo, with particular emphasis on Malga production. The time reference remains expressly tied to this planned date.
