Lendinuso between Marina, Coastal Landscape and History

Lendinuso is a coastal town that, for travel planning purposes, is primarily defined by its marina, the local landscape and destinations in the nearby and wider regional area. Marina and local orientation

In the Marina di Lendinuso, there is a traffic-restricted zone at Piazzale Storico. There is also a pedestrian zone along Lungomare Via dell’Ostrica. Both areas are concrete reference points for locating the town, but they represent different spatial situations. When choosing a hotel or other accommodation in Lendinuso, its location in relation to these areas is therefore a useful planning consideration.

Coastal landscape and seasonal planning

The Canale Infocaciucci flows into the Marina di Lendinuso. Its banks are covered with reeds and Mediterranean maquis and provide a habitat for migratory birds. Seasonal matters also play a role in orientation. From 24 June 2024, the municipality established summer weekly markets in Lendinuso on Mondays and Wednesdays; the designated locations included Via dello Storione, Via del Luccio and Via del Salmone, among others. The two market days and the three streets give the summer offering a fixed temporal and local framework. For summer 2026, the Municipality of Torchiarolo sought private areas for temporary car parks with public use and private management to serve the coastal towns, including Lendinuso. The search for 2026 concerns temporary areas and therefore does not indicate a permanent parking offer.

Ruins, church and gardens in the surrounding area

Antica Valesio is an archaeological site in the vicinity of Lendinuso. Madonna delle Grazie is a church in the nearby area. Masseria Nuova is another archaeological site in the area around Lendinuso. Together, these destinations offer different ways of exploring the surroundings: antiquity and ruins stand alongside a religious building, without requiring a single tour or a specific sequence.

Giardino Mazzarelle is a garden in the vicinity of Lendinuso, while Giardino Ippoliti is classified as a garden in the area around Lendinuso. Giardino Mazzarelle is closer to Lendinuso than Giardino Ippoliti. The wider regional area also contains two beaches: Lido Stella and Lido Pantarei. The Sito Archeologico Romano di Via Casimiro, an ancient site, is also located there. Lido Stella, Lido Pantarei and the Sito Archeologico Romano di Via Casimiro are all in the wider regional area, but differ in that they are beaches or an ancient site, respectively. The range of destinations therefore extends from gardens and beaches to archaeological sites, while the marina and coastal landscape provide the immediate connection to the town.
