Scarcelli between the Square, Sports and Regional Destinations

Scarcelli offers several clearly distinct reasons to travel there. The church and square point to local history, sports and creative activities add opportunities for activity, while beaches, a mountain and other cultural destinations are located nearby. The church stands on the square, the padel courts are located at the Centro Sportivo; the creative laboratory also began there. Church and Local History

The Chiesa di Santa Maria della Stella stands on Scarcelli’s square, on the former S.S. 18 towards Paola. The parish church of Santa Maria della Stella was built in 1939 under the name S. Mauro and received its current name in 1986.

Sports, Drawing and Street Art

The Club Sportivo Scarcelli has padel courts in a well-equipped and easily accessible sports facility. In the Basic Drawing Course, participants learned how to use a pencil, create light-and-dark contrasts and apply various tonal gradations. Street art is also among the creative activities: on 24 May, a creative laboratory led by Amaele Serino began at the Centro Sportivo di Scarcelli, introducing participants to street art. Both the sports activities and the creative laboratory are therefore connected with the Centro Sportivo di Scarcelli.

Murals: A Completed Project and Planned Events

The project to create a new mural, carried out in Scarcelli in 2026, was supported by the Fondazione Carical and promoted by the Associazione Ragazzi di Scarcelli. It ended with a well-attended inauguration. In addition, the Festival dei Murales is planned with two events in which citizens and visitors are to participate. The mural project and the festival therefore have different statuses in terms of timing.

Cultural Destinations Nearby

Roccia di Val Pellice is a fortress in the vicinity of Scarcelli. The Museo dei Brettii e del Mare, a museum, is also located nearby.
