The Battistero Paleocristiano di Santa Maria Maggiore contains a central octagonal baptismal font. The Basilica Santuario di Santa Maria Materdomini is a minor papal basilica. The cloister of the Chiesa e Convento di Santa Maria degli Angeli provides a distinctive sacred accent with frescoes dedicated to the stigmatised Saint Francis. On 15 August, the Festa dell’Assunta di Materdomini takes place at the Basilica Pontificia di Santa Maria di Materdomini. It culminates in a solemn procession through the town’s streets, during which the statue of the Virgin Mary is carried.

The Festa del Majo commemorates the consecration of the temple of Mater Domini by Pope Nicholas II on 1 May 1061. In Materdomini, it is a two-day reenactment featuring figures in historical costumes, dances, music and medieval performances. In Pucciano, a costumed Via Crucis takes place every year, combining faith and tradition and incorporating historical costumes into the spiritual journey. The Festa di Santa Maria Maggiore takes place every year with religious and folkloric events in honour of the Madonna.

The culinary side includes the “Salata di San Ciro” event. A typical local gastronomic specialty is prepared there.
