Pino sulla Sponda del Lago Maggiore lies on the rocky Sasso di Pino promontory. In the higher part, the mountain area known as Monti di Pino reaches an elevation of 1,375 m. Historic Town Center and Exceptional Views

The historic center of Pino sulla Sponda del Lago Maggiore is characterized by solid stone buildings, decorated portals and columns from older structures. The Torre medievale di Pino has also been preserved in the town center. These buildings give a walk through the town a distinctly historic focus, without requiring you to limit yourself to a single building.

The Church of Saints Quirico and Giulitta stands on a scenic hill not far from the settlement. Its church square offers views across Lago Maggiore to the south toward Cannobio and to the north toward the Brissago Islands.

Pino's Church of San Quirico houses a historic organ by Giorgio Maroni dating from 1907. The final division of the localities was established in 1750, at which point Pino became autonomous. For visitors interested in culture, the historic architecture, sacred art and a chapter of the town's history come together here.

Rocky Promontory, Forests and Monti di Pino

The higher part of the town includes the Monti di Pino mountain area, which reaches an elevation of 1,375 m. With a little luck, wild boar and deer can be spotted in the forests around Pino. The elevation and wooded landscape broaden the view of Pino beyond the historic town center and lakeshore.

Walking Trails and Water Sports

At Piazza della Vittoria, signs from the Pro Loco point toward the trails to Tronzano and Bassano that begin there. The walk between Pino and Bassano also starts at Piazza della Vittoria in the center of Pino.

Kiteboarding and windsurfing are possible at Spiaggia di Pino Tronzano. These two activities offer a different focus from the historic town walk and complement the scenic side of a stay on Lago Maggiore. Getting to the Town Center

Pino can be reached by train via the small Pino-Tronzano railway station. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to Piazza della Vittoria. If you arrive by train, the walk is therefore part of the first leg of the route into Pino's town center.
