The pilgrimage to Ausonia is an old tradition in Castro dei Volsci and takes place every three years. Since 1992, the Associazione per la Cultura il Folklore e gli Sport Popolari, Gruppo Folk “Città di Castro”, has organised the “Festival Internazionale del Folklore – Città di Castro” in Castro dei Volsci. The Festa degli Antichi Statuti is a summer costumed event commemorating the granting of the municipal statutes of 1538 to the community of Castro by Marcantonio Colonna.
