Tor San Lorenzo: Beach, Dunes and Historic Traces

Tor San Lorenzo can be explored through its coastal landscape and historic traces. The Roman harbour and fortress have been identified as Castrum Inui. The references therefore range from maritime infrastructure and Roman fortifications to older religious traces.

A prominent historic building is the Torre di San Lorenzo. It was completed in 1570 after three years of construction and is more than 30 metres high. The design of the Torre di San Lorenzo is traditionally attributed to Michelangelo Buonarroti.
