Ruta: Trails to Portofino, Panoramic Views and La Millenaria

The route from Ruta to Portofino begins at the Valico di Ruta on the western end of the state road tunnel, on the side facing Camogli. It forms the final stage of the Via del Mare, which is also known as the Via del Sale. If you include Portofino in your travel plans, this creates a clearly defined route connection at the heart of your itinerary.

Trails with different characteristics

The hiking route from Ruta to San Fruttuoso is 4.6 km long (one way). The Via Monti to Portofino Vetta

The Via Monti is an alternative, less direct and less strenuous route from Ruta to Portofino Vetta. About 300 metres from Ruta, the Via Monti joins the trail towards San Rocco. The Via Monti runs below the small church near the Portofino Vetta car park. La Millenaria and the view of the gulf

The churchyard of the Millennium church “La Millenaria” offers views of the Gulf of Genoa and the profile of Monte di Portofino. The trail to Bocche therefore represents a forest landscape; the level, green section adds open spaces and views of Camogli to this impression.
