Parole: Hiking, Pebble Beach and Culture by the Lake

Parole combines the Paròle–Monte Stino hiking trail, a freely accessible bathing area and several destinations for cultural and historical excursions. The trail begins in Paröle on the eastern shore of the lake, while the beach area is surrounded by wooded areas and offers parking. In the nearby and wider surroundings, a castle, museums and a palace add to the range of attractions. This combination is appealing if you want to bring nature, activity and regional culture together during your stay.

Hiking the trail to Monte Stino

The Paròle–Monte Stino hiking trail begins in Paröle on the eastern shore of the lake and is marked with white-and-red trail markings. Just below the summit, it passes by wartime tunnels. Monte Stino can be reached directly on foot from Parole in more than two and a half hours. This time estimate is important for your planning: the direct walk to the mountain is one of the longer excursions around Parole and is therefore clearly different from a short stay at the bathing area.

Bathing area and wooded beach area

The bathing area in Località Parole is a freely accessible pebble beach. The beach area includes wooded sections and also offers parking. This means that, in addition to the marked hiking trail, Parole also provides a specific place to spend time by the water. Pebbles, woodland and the proximity to the water define this part of the village, without requiring you to use an organised facility.

Mountains and views over Lake Idro

The surrounding mountains also give the area a distinct landscape. Monte Manos is a mountain in the vicinity of Parole. Corno Zeno, Cima di Meghe and Monte Zingla are peaks in the surroundings of Parole. A viewpoint overlooking Lake Idro can be reached in a five-minute walk from the car park at the Monte Stino mountain hut.

Castle, museums and palace in the surrounding area
