Pusiano between the lake, art and the historic town centre
Pusiano combines Lake Pusiano with a historic town centre, art and paths into nature. The lake is part of Parco Valle Lambro and shapes the experiences around the town. Lake Pusiano is also home to the privately owned Isola dei Cipressi. For a stay where landscape and culture are closely connected, Pusiano therefore offers various starting points for planning your days.
Lakeside, promenade and excursions on the water
The Lungolago di Pusiano on Via Mazzini is a lakeside promenade for walks and outdoor activities. From there, a panoramic view of Lake Pusiano opens up. Excursions on the lake are offered by the electric boat “Vago Eupili”. This makes it possible to experience Lake Pusiano not only as a landscape, but also as a destination for a special activity on the water.
Historic sites in the centre
The historic town centre of Pusiano includes the parish church of Santa Maria Nascente, dating from 1567, and the Oratorio dei Santi Francesco e Damiano, dating from 1709. Palazzo Beauharnais also shapes the appearance of the town. The prestigious residence dates from the 15th to the 19th century. Palazzo Carpani Beauharnais contains interiors with large halls and distinctive wooden ceilings.
Segantini and cultural experiences
A special focus is placed on Giovanni Segantini. Spazio Segantini is a permanent exhibition space dedicated to his work. For groups of ten or more, guided tours of the Percorso Segantini and of historically and culturally interesting places in Pusiano are organised in the mornings and afternoons by reservation.
Paths into nature and a viewpoint
Above Pusiano lies the Santuario della Madonna della Neve, a sanctuary dating from the 16th century. It can be reached on foot from the centre of Pusiano in around 20 minutes. The approximate walking time of around 20 minutes can be factored into your itinerary on site as a short block of time. The sanctuary is situated in a clearing and, in fine weather, offers views across the lake over Brianza as far as Milan. Paths used for walks through nature begin behind Pusiano. The town also serves as a starting point for cycling tours and other activities on two wheels.
A place for different travel rhythms
The combination of the lakeside promenade, art, historic buildings and paths into the surrounding landscape can be arranged in different ways depending on your travel rhythm. For active days, hiking trails behind the town and cycling tours are available. The former Cava di Pusiano has been converted into a venue for numerous musical, theatrical, cultural and entertainment events.
