Trezzano sul Naviglio combines parkland, churches and visible traces of two monasteries. The surrounding area also includes museums, a palace, a castle, a park, a garden and natural arches. Historical and landscape attractions can therefore be found both in the town itself and in the nearby and wider surrounding area.

Parco del Centenario and Cycling

Parco del Centenario lies entirely within Parco Agricolo Sud Milano and covers approximately 160,000 m². Since 2007, it has been a Punto Parco, providing information about initiatives and events in Parco Agricolo Sud Milano. For travel planning, the park can therefore be considered both as a destination in its own right and in connection with Parco Agricolo Sud Milano.

The Punto Parco Centenario building houses a bar, a small library and a bicycle workshop. Together, these three facilities complement the parkland with dining, reading and cycling-related activities. In particular, the workshop gives cycling a tangible place within the park building.

Churches and Sacred Art

The Chiesa di S. Ambrogio contains an image of the Madonna attributed to Bernardino Luini or associated with him. The church was declared a Marian shrine on March 6, 1954.

The Chiesa di San Lorenzo was established in 1963 for the Zingone district and separated from the Chiesa di Sant'Ambrogio. The Oratorio di S. Apollinare is a church in Trezzano sul Naviglio and is associated with the year 1310.

Visible Monastic History

Trezzano sul Naviglio developed around a Carthusian monastery and a Cistercian monastery. Both monasteries remain visible, but have been converted into private homes. The visible monastic connections are therefore associated with private reuse, which forms part of the townscape today.

Museums and Historic Buildings in the Surrounding Area

Goppion, a museum, is located in the immediate vicinity of Trezzano sul Naviglio. Castelletto di Gaggiano, a palace, is also nearby. The surrounding area additionally includes Museo delle culture, a museum, and Castello Sforzesco, a castle. These four destinations complement the local churches and monastic traces with museums, a palace and a castle.

Further Landscape Destinations

Arco della Pace and Porta Garibaldi are natural arches in the surrounding area. Parco Travaglia is a park nearby, while Giardino Alberto Moravia is a garden in the surrounding area. When planning a trip with a focus on landscapes, these four places can be considered alongside Parco del Centenario.

Railway Station and Regional Connections

Trezzano sul Naviglio railway station offers connections to Milano Centrale, Corsico, Gaggiano, Mortara, Albairate and Vigevano. For travel between destinations, the station can therefore be included as a connection point to these six destinations. The railway station adds a concrete arrival aspect to the town's history.
