Camparada combines a long history with trails through Parco dei Colli Briantei. The oldest documented mention of Camparada is found in a document dated 6 October 1399. The local districts that still exist today include Masciocco (Maciocco), Masciocchino (Maciocchino), Valmora (Valmorra), La Torre (Thor) and Cabella; they are documented in 16th-century registers. Camparada’s local economy was shaped primarily by arable farming and livestock breeding, preserving its rural character.

Cascina Masciocco

Cascina Masciocco is an important part of Camparada’s local historical and architectural heritage. It includes a small church dedicated to Saint Eurosia, which probably dates from before the 18th century. In 1856, the curia approved dedicating the chapel of Cascina Masciocco to Saint Eurosia.

Parco dei Colli Briantei and PLIS

In 2007, Camparada, Arcore and Usmate Velate founded Parco dei Colli Briantei to protect the area between the three municipalities. The PLIS dei Colli Briantei, which includes Camparada, combines nature, traces of the rural past and history. The PLIS has cycling and walking trails of various lengths, allowing you to plan outdoor activities in different ways depending on how much time you have and what interests you. The different trail lengths do not provide a uniform time frame: for a short itinerary, choose a different route than for a longer stay in the PLIS. Hiking and orientation

From the car park at Camparada’s primary school, a hiking route leads towards Casatenovo via the Sentiero dei quattro parchi and past the Dosso di Velate viewpoint. On the way back, the route follows the Rio Molgorana back to Camparada. The trail network of Parco dei Colli Briantei is marked locally with wooden trail signs that help with orientation along the route.
