Cantello Between Architecture and Local History

Asparago bianco di Cantello is closely associated with the Baraggia di Cantello: the most important asparagus fields are located there. The cultivation of white asparagus in Cantello was already established in the 19th century. At the Fiera dell'Asparago di Cantello, the programme includes an agricultural market with the direct sale of freshly harvested asparagus. In this way, regional agriculture becomes tangible both in its historical development and in its present-day presentation.

Historic Paths on Monte Orsa

The Sentiero della Pace – Frontiera Nord is approximately 7 kilometres long. It leads to the observation posts on Monte Orsa and to the fortification system between Monte Orsa and Monte Pravello. The approximate length provides a concrete indication for planning your own excursion; at the same time, the path connects the landscape with military-historical installations.
