Fabiano Among Trails, Vineyards and History
Fabiano can be explored through trails, vineyards, churches and destinations in the near and wider surrounding area. This provides a selection of different landscape and cultural experiences for planning your trip: routes lead through the town or incorporate it into longer itineraries, while historic buildings and gardens extend the view beyond the immediate surroundings.
Trails with Different Characteristics
The protected regional trail I campi coltivati follows the Camino–Fabiano–Rocchetta–Camino route. The route Pedalare Il Monferrato runs mainly along unpaved paths and partly on lightly trafficked paved roads. The surface is therefore a specific aspect to consider when assessing the different trail options around Fabiano.
On the Gran Trekking del Monferrato dei Castelli Bruciati, the route enters the municipality of Solonghello, climbs up to Fabiano, passes the Chiesa parrocchiale di Sant’Eusebio and continues through vineyards towards Solonghello’s main settlement. The route Camminare in Monferrato: dal castello di Solonghello alla cascina che non c’è reaches Fabiano, offers a short detour to the Chiesa di Sant’Eusebio and then leaves the town in the direction of Solonghello.
Wine-Growing Area and Hilly Landscape
Pedalare Il Monferrato passes through the Cerrina Valley wine-growing area and villages on gently rolling, wooded hills. On the way towards Solonghello, the hiking trail runs along a hilltop ridge through a particularly barren section and offers views of the surrounding hills and the small settlements at higher elevations. In this way, the landscape is revealed not only as a wine-growing area, but also through its wooded, open and more barren sections.
Church History in Fabiano
The cemetery church Chiesa cimiteriale di Sant’Eusebio already existed in 1299. The Chiesa di Sant’Eusebio, located in the town of Fabiano, was rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1767 and consecrated in 1783. A guided hike passes the church in Fabiano, which is dedicated to Saint Eusebius. For visitors interested in culture, this brings together a very early historical record, a Baroque reconstruction and a specific route through the town.
Castles, Fortress and Park in the Surrounding Area

The Giardini della Stazione garden is located in the area surrounding Fabiano.
