Casorzo: Churches, Wine and the Bialbero in Monferrato

Casorzo is situated on a 275-metre-high hill on the border with the Province of Alessandria, in a landscape shaped by vineyards. The town combines religious architecture, Piedmontese wine culture and special nature experiences.

A truffle experience at Cantina di Casorzo includes a visit to the production area followed by a tasting of four wines with a selection of typical regional products. Wine and truffles are not treated as abstract subjects, but experienced directly through tasting and searching.

The Bialbero and the route to Grana

The Bialbero of Casorzo is a mulberry tree on which a cherry tree grows. It is located in the equipped “Adriano Fracchia” area in the valley between Casorzo and Grana. The unusual combination of two tree species makes this place a distinctive natural feature within the landscape.

The Grana Monferrato–Casorzo route passes by the Bialbero of Casorzo. The section in question is approximately 3 km long. Along the route, there are numerous panoramic viewpoints overlooking the Alps and the hills of Monferrato.
