Tigliole offers several clear ways to shape your stay: the circular hikes created by the town hall, the Centro di Recupero della Fauna Selvatica, and the historic and artistic sites each provide a different focus. This allows you to tailor your stay to your own interests: exercise, wildlife care, or the history and art of the town. The combination ranges from trails of varying lengths and the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals to frescoes, exhibitions and architectural history.

Hiking with Different Trail Profiles

Tigliole has several circular hikes created by the town hall, ranging from 6 to 21 kilometres. The Cammino Romanico Tigliole begins at the town hall car park and leads to the parish church of San Lorenzo. The Percorso Giallo circular route runs along paved roads, unpaved roads and paths. When planning your day, you can therefore take into account both the desired walking distance and the type of surface.

A Dated Hiking Event

On Sunday, 25 May 2025, the Pro Loco of Tigliole organised hikes ranging from 5 to 30 kilometres as part of A Spasso per Tigliole. At that time, the event had been held for nine years. The event complements the various circular routes with a format offering several distances.

Centro di Recupero della Fauna Selvatica

The Centro di Recupero della Fauna Selvatica in Tigliole, operated by the Asti section of LIPU, offers guided visiting routes accompanied by volunteers and guides. The Centro Recupero Fauna Selvatica di Asti has been a centre for the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals since 1997. This gives Tigliole's natural side a concrete connection with the care and reintegration of wild animals.

Getting to the Centro

The Centro Recupero Fauna Selvatica di Asti can be reached by private car or public transport. The San Damiano and Baldicheri railway stations are 2 kilometres from the centre. You can take this information into account when planning a visit using different means of transport.

Art and Earlier Local History

The fortress of Tigliole once stood on the site where the Palazzo Comunale now stands. In 1892, Paolo Gaidano decorated the ceiling of the parish church of Santi Giovanni e Lorenzo with frescoes. The town hall's permanent exhibition of contemporary art displays works by 24 artists. The works were donated by 24 artists who had previously exhibited at the Romanesque church of San Lorenzo.

Santuario della Madonnina di Vulgo Scapenzo

The Santuario della Madonnina di Vulgo Scapenzo was rebuilt after an older church in Caspedengo was destroyed at the end of the 18th century. This historical connection broadens your view from individual buildings to the development and renewal of places of worship.
