Culture, labels and religious architecture

For more than sixty years, Lidia and Romano Levi produced the grappa known as “La Grappa della Donna Selvatica”. For visitors interested in craftsmanship, notable figures and regionally shaped stories, this long production history is an independent cultural point of reference for the town.

The hand-drawn poetic labels by Romano Levi create a distinctive visual dimension. They are associated with the artistic movement known as “arte-selvatica”. Thus, the focus is not only on the drink itself but also on the design of the labels, offering access to an unusual part of the town’s culture.

The San Michele Arciconfraternita was built in the second half of the 18th century by the architect Antonio Borgese. Inside are a Renaissance-style organ and an 18th-century painting of Saint Michael. The organ and the painting add two specific furnishings to the architectural history of the San Michele Arciconfraternita.

The Cappella S. Sebastiano also reflects a long building history: it already existed in the 15th century and was completely rebuilt in the 18th century. Palazzo Borgese also dates from the 18th century.

The Bottega dei Quattro Vini di Neive is located in the cellars of Palazzo Borgese. The Bottega is therefore situated in a building dating from the 18th century.

Neive Borgonuovo developed between the late 19th and early 20th centuries near the railway line that connected Neive with Asti, Alessandria, Alba and Cuneo.
