At the Museo dell’Acciuga di Aspra, the story of the sardine is told from legend to the present day. This places a product at the centre that is closely linked to the town’s culinary heritage. The history of the town can also be explored through specific sites. During work on a building, a 2 km-long access path was created. It led from the building to the sea and crossed the town of Aspra. The route thus connects a building, the sea and the townscape within a historical context.

Coast and 2026 Bathing Season

For the 2026 bathing season, Spiaggia della Playa is designated as suitable for regular bathing. Cala dell’Osta in the Mongerbino area is likewise designated as suitable for regular bathing for the 2026 bathing season.

Villa Sant’Isidoro De Cordova

Villa Sant’Isidoro De Cordova is located in Aspra and dates from 1648. The present design of the main floor can be dated to the mid-18th century. This is indicated by a signature bearing the year 1753 in the trompe-l’œil decoration of the great hall. The year is therefore one of the visible details that make it possible to trace the later design of the building.

The villa’s weapons room displays the family’s weapon collections, as well as a collection of coins and banknotes, on the walls. The house museum is open only by telephone reservation. Memory and Recurring Tradition

The Festa di Maria Santissima Addolorata takes place annually in Aspra and represents a recurring religious point of reference in the life of the town. Summer Mobility
