The Riserva Naturale Serre di Ciminna is a protected area in the category of Riserva Naturale Orientata with an area of 310.62 hectares in Ciminna. It is assigned to the Natura 2000 site ZSC ITA020024 Rocche di Ciminna. Characteristic features include karst phenomena in an extensive occurrence of macrocrystalline Messinian gypsum, including collapse dolines and a significant swallow hole.

Monte Rotondo also offers a clear distinction in the landscape: its southern side is considered easily accessible, while the remaining sides feature steep rock faces. The archaeological site of Pizzo di Ciminna contains significant evidence from the Archaic and Classical periods, and especially from the Hellenistic period. Museums and Church Art

The Polo Museale di Ciminna is a cultural centre and a decentralised museum. It conveys and preserves the artistic, cultural, demo-ethno-anthropological and archaeological heritage, as well as the municipal historical archive. It is housed in the former Ospedale di San Pietro, which was founded in 1506 by Paolo and Giovanna Ventimiglia.

The Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista contains a wooden crucifix by an unknown artist, dated to the middle of the 15th century. The Chiesa di San Giacomo Apostolo houses a painted polychrome wooden statue of Saint James from the 16th century by an unknown artist. The Chiesa di San Giacomo is identified as the former Jewish synagogue of Ciminna and has an adjacent women's gallery.

The Chiesa Madre di Ciminna has three naves and a floor plan in the shape of a Latin cross. It contains a 16th-century marble triptych from the Gagini school. Architectural form and pictorial details are thus found directly alongside one another.

Around 200 people in costumes from the Roman period, divided into 13 tableaux, portray the life, martyrdom and arrival of the saint's relics in Ciminna.
