Marina di Ragusa combines its coastal setting with cycle paths, a marina and cultural attractions in the surrounding area. This creates a place where you can combine days at the beach, activities by the sea and excursions to sites of architectural and historical interest. Sandy beaches and activities by the sea

The sandy beaches of Marina di Ragusa feature environmentally friendly access walkways and supervised swimming facilities. The beaches also have beach volleyball and tennis courts. The range of sporting activities is complemented by an outdoor gym by the sea. Several other beaches are located in the surrounding area: Spiaggia di Torre di Mezzo, Spiaggia Donnalucata, Spiaggia di Punta Braccetto and Spiaggia Cava d'Aliga. Beach volleyball, tennis and the outdoor gym provide additional opportunities for exercise by the sea alongside supervised swimming.

Cycling along the coast

A cycle path by the sea connects Marina di Ragusa with Punta di Mola. Another cycle path runs along the coast from the mouth of the Irminio nature reserve to the town of Casuzze and on both sides of Marina di Ragusa. This gives you two different coastal connections for planning your route: one to Punta di Mola and one from the mouth of the Irminio to Casuzze. Which route is the focus depends on the direction you want to take along the coast.

Marina and promenade

The marina of Marina di Ragusa can accommodate boats up to 55 m long. At the same time, it is only a few metres from the promenade and the town's main attractions. This proximity makes the harbour a practical point of reference if you want to include the water, promenade and central sights in your daily plans.

Church, festival and historic sites

The parish church of Santa Maria di Portosalvo was built from 1931 to 1935. The patron saint's festival, Maria SS. di Portosalvo, in honour of the town's patron saint, takes place at Ferragosto. The older history includes Torre Cabrera: in the 16th century, the structure served as a watchtower to protect against pirate attacks. Torre Cabrera takes the town's history back to the 16th century, while the parish church dates from 1931 to 1935.

The area around Marina di Ragusa also offers various destinations for cultural and historical excursions. Casa di Montalbano is located there as a museum. The archaeological park Parco archeologico di Kaukana, an ancient site, is also in the surrounding area. Palazzo Spadaro and Palazzo Fava are both located there as palaces. This allows you to combine time on the coast with individual visits to a museum, an ancient site and historic architecture.
