The sea near Lido di Noto is clean and crystal clear. Along the coast, you will find bars, tobacconists, grocery stores, restaurants, and pizzerias. When planning a day by the sea, you can take shopping, dining, and tobacconists into account as different stops.

Spiaggia di Eloro and the Nature of Vendicari

If you enter the Vendicari Nature Reserve from the northern entrance, Spiaggia di Eloro is the first beach. The beach offers golden sand, dunes, and crystal-clear water. Freshwater marshes surround it and serve as a resting area for herons, flamingos, stilts, and mallards. It is also a nesting site for the loggerhead sea turtle, Caretta caretta.

Beach Path with Archaeological Traces

From the northern entrance to the Vendicari Nature Reserve, Spiaggia di Eloro can be reached via a footpath of approximately 300 metres. For planning purposes, this approximately 300-metre section can be considered a short walk within the visit. The path passes the ruins of the Greek city of Eloro, which are accompanied by detailed descriptions and reconstructions.

Environmental Itinerary and Road Cycling Route

The environmental itinerary can be explored on foot, by bicycle, or by car. Among other places, it passes through Lido di Noto, which is one of its points of interest. Road cyclists can also take the 55-kilometre “Tra Mare e Barocco” route, which passes through Lido di Noto. The 55-kilometre length provides a concrete planning value for organising a day of cycling, while the environmental itinerary allows for several modes of transport.

Water Sports Depending on the Wind

Depending on the wind, kitesurfing courses are held at different spots. These include the beaches of Lido di Noto and Gela, as well as Granelli, Pozzallo, Agnone Bagni, and La Playa di Siracusa. When planning a kitesurfing course, the wind conditions therefore form part of choosing the respective spot along the coast of Lido di Noto.

Piazza Belvedere on the Waterfront

Piazza Belvedere is a public square that was returned to the city as part of the redevelopment of the Lido di Noto waterfront. It includes an amphitheatre, stone seating, trees, lighting, a fitness area with exercise equipment, and a central scenographic staircase. The stone seating and amphitheatre add further elements to the square alongside the fitness area with its exercise equipment. The new Belvedere in Lido di Noto is a modern viewpoint overlooking the Mediterranean.

A Dated Historical Site

In the wider regional area around Lido di Noto, the Villa Romana del Tellaro was built in the 4th century AD.
